3 Ways to Stop Ruining Your Skin

When it comes to skincare and grooming, no one is perfect. You're doing the best you can to keep your skin looking great. But chances are there are a few habits that you should break if you really want the healthiest skin possible.

Ready to review your skincare routine and make the necessary adjustments? Great. Start with these 3 common mistakes that many men make. If you're in the wrong here, it won't be hard to make a few tweaks to your skincare and grooming routine.

1 - You use body wash on your hair.

You want to get in and out of the shower, nice and clean, in as little time as possible. Fine -  there's no problem with being efficient. But when speed and convenience take precedence over your skin, that's an issue.

If you think you can use your body wash on your hair and get good results, think again. Body wash is designed for your skin. It won't treat your hair and scalp as gently or as effectively as the best natural shampoo for men.

Shampoo is made to hydrate, restore, and strengthen your hair. When you choose a natural thickening shampoo for men with ingredients like hydrolyzed wheat protein, you get the added benefit of thicker hair with each wash. Those are benefits that a typical body wash just can't offer.

Body wash is no good if you want to prevent or fight dandruff as well. And since most washes are made with heavy detergents that strip away natural oils, using it can leave your hair dry, limp, and dull.

2 - You use a soap bar to wash your face.

The classic, trusty soap bar has been a go-to for most men for decades. And yes, it's multi-functional and convenient. But no, it's not ideal for washing your face.

That's because most soap bars contain harsh ingredients that, while great at removing dirt and excess oil, also strip away the natural oils your skin needs to stay smooth, flexible, and properly moisturized.

You're much better off washing your face with a natural face wash for men. Better yet, choose a face wash designed for your skin type.

Our Clarifying Gel Face Wash is made for guys with normal to oily skin. Its ingredients remove excess oil but aren't so harsh as to strip away the natural oil your skin still needs.

Do you have dry or sensitive skin? If so, you'll benefit from our Purifying Charcoal Face Wash. It uses activated charcoal to gently remove dirt, oil, and debris from your pores. Its ingredients are non-lathering to help prevent the moisture loss that exacerbates dry or sensitive skin issues.

3 - You use foaming shave cream.

PSA: Foaming shave cream is not protecting your face from irritation. Those tiny air bubbles are almost useless when it comes to keeping your skin irritation-free.

To get the best results, you need a natural shave cream for men with a lotion-base that is non-lathering. That will soothe your skin, hydrate it pre-shave, and leave your shave area smooth and supple afterwards.

Most guys have plenty of room for improvement in their personal skincare and grooming routines. Are you making one or more of these 3 common skincare mistakes? If so, don't stress. Just make the necessary adjustments and enjoy looking your best.
